In this business contest, we received applications from over 50 diverse startups in the fields of smart agriculture, well-being, and next mobility. During the pitch contest featuring four selected companies, each delivered passionate presentations, making the judging process highly competitive. Ultimately, Dishwill Inc. was chosen as the top company! 🏆 ✨Congratulations!🥇 ✨

⭐️Won the "Selection Committee Special Award" at the 7th Japan Open Innovation Prize⭐️

JAL, together with our partners, received the "Selection Committee Special Award" at the 7th Japan Open Innovation Prize hosted by the Cabinet Office on February 5, 2025, for our initiative "Building an Ecosystem Connecting Japan and Low Earth Orbit - Towards the Landing of the Dream Chaser® Spaceplane at Oita Airport -"🚀

This initiative aims to establish Oita Airport as an Asian hub for spaceplanes through public-private and international collaboration🌏️
It was highly evaluated for its pioneering collaborative framework that combines expertise from different industries to promote new entries into the space business, and its future development is highly anticipated🛰️

On January 28th (January 29th Japan time), BOOM conducted the first supersonic flight with its supersonic flight technology demonstration aircraft "XB-1", and the JAL team was on hand to witness this historic moment!!✨ 🛫

Three supersonic flights were successfully completed during the 33-minute flight, with a top speed of Mach 1.122.🎉

This made BOOM the first commercial aircraft in the U.S. to achieve supersonic flight, a historic feat!

JAL and BOOM will continue to collaborate in pursuit of the possibilities of "supersonic aircraft," which are different from current aircraft, to create a future in which we can provide customers with a "special time" than before.

JAL and IWAYA Inc. began collaborating in December 2024 with the aim of commercializing space sightseeing flight experiences using gas balloons🚀
JAL will work together in business and technology development through participation in the "OPEN UNIVERSE PROJECT," a Japan-originated co-creation project organized by IWAYA Inc. that aims to commercialize and popularize balloon-based space sightseeing flights⭐️
The OPEN UNIVERSE PROJECT is currently holding the "OPEN UNIVERSE CHALLENGE," a promotion in which the public is invited to submit names for the first balloon to be used in the world's first commercial "space sightseeing flight" by a balloon, which will be in service until March 9, 2025!☄️
